camp care a-lot

The year fives and sixs had a senior school camp at pt england school.We slepy on the feild in tents at our school.

trampoline

The whole senior school had a sports rotationat pt england school where the crowed started cherring, and roaring above everyone.We had a try out on the trampoline in our school hall.We all had to line up in a straight line and wait for our turn.I started shaking,shevering,and shuddering.I looked around the school hall at the chrildren when my fingers were quivering and my eyes were watery as if was under water with my eyes open.I felt nervous and was sweltering as if I were in a boiling pan.Finaly it was my turn. I took a big breath then rushed to the trampoline .I sprinted then leaped up rebounding off and flying through the air like a gliding eagle spread his wings.

The easter show

Wow it was so cool at the easter show because they had lots of rides their and lots of hummy foods.My sister and I went on the rokin roll and we both got very dizzy because we rolled around and around in circles and went upside down.Me and my sister also went on the kamakazi,bumper cars,and I had to go on the merry go round

Motat

On Thursday the therteenth of June 2008 the senior people at pt England school which is room 15,16,17 and 18 went on a trip together to motat to learn lots of things about flight.We went into the museum and we saw Richard Pearse's plane.When i saw Richard Peares's plane it looked like a bird. It looked like it was made of bamboo sticks,three thin wheels,and old metals that were orange.It also had lots of pipes and wires hanging all over the place.It looked very 0ld and rusty. It looked like a statue.After we looked at the richard pearse's and Jean batterns display we went to the handson area.In the handson area you can touch and play with any thing you want to.In the handson area it had a spinner.The spinner was something that you hop on.I got very dizzy and nearly fell off it.It also had a mirror maze.The mirror maze was so cool because there were mirrors everywhere.I kept on knocking my head on the mirrors.Room15 was getting all excited about the mirror maze.It was a long and cool mirror maze because you had to find your way out.After that we went on a tram ride.I liked the tram ride because the ride was really smooth,slow and comfortable.We finally got to motat two.The person who owend motat two was some body called Frazear.We went in and as soon as i walked in i felt like saying "Wow" well any way i did say that because there were lots of Incredible planes.They were huge.Frazear said people use to fly them many many years ago.He even told us how they flew them and how they use to work in their days.The people who use to fly the planes and helicopters in motat two were famous plane flyers.We also made a wing out of straw,a hole clipper,cellotape,string and white blank paper.When we had finished making them we tried them out in the green tunnel that had a fan so it could blow the wing to produce lift,weight,thrust and drag to see what will happen.We tried them in the tunnel.My wing was spinning around on the string and it looked like a real plane wing.We went to go and look around on the other side of the museum so we did. We also took photo's of the helicopters, planes and art they had there.We finaly left on the bus back to school.

Immersion Assembly

On the first day back at school we had an a Immersion Assembly about our schools topic we are the champions.We are learning about we are the champions because the Beijing Olympics are coming up soon.After that somebody strange came up to the front of the hall wow it was our lovely Mr Jacobson.He was dressed up in gloves,a bike helmet,knee pads,and elbow pads. He looked like a famous bike rider.Then team one went up on the stage and they performed two rugby players and one tennis player.The funniest teacher in team one was miss Wild because she was trying to act out as Tana Umaga which is a famous rugby player in the all blacks team. Miss Vaafusuanga said that she played for the Samoan woman's rugby team and she also said she won lots of gold metals for it but when she played for the sevens they didn't make it.The second head master in our school Misses Jarmen said that her son played for the Taranaki rugby team and won the ranfurley shield.team two finally performed and Miss Apted had a fizzy drink and sat down on the couch .Miss Hawkin's said "may" I join you" then Miss ed said "yes".After that they watched a movie suddenly Miss Glaze told them to get down and give her twenty push ups.Miss Hawkin's looked funny because of the way she done the push ups.I liked team four because of my teacher misses Squires.She was wearing a black Afro,and she had a blue basket ball top on,and a basket ball.All of the teachers were funny for how they performed.

Hot Air Balloon

Wow it was so cool watching the hot air balloon. It was pinky tinged, light grey and white mixed together and yellow. Each class, one by one, had to go up and look at the air balloon so they can write about it. It smelt like a tent with old socks and rotten cheese. We walked around it and it was swaying, waning and bending.
After morning tea Daryl and Matt showed us how to make the hot air balloon go up and up.The hot air balloon only went two feets off the ground because it was tethered to the car.The man Daryl used the two burners to make the hot air balloon rise up to the sky.He also used the fan to make it rise too.

Camp

On March the eighteentht 2007 the teachers at Pt England school had a camp planned for us. Pt England school got very excited about what it was going to be like to be on camp.Wow the day finally came. It was only for year fives and sixes to go on camp.The school camp was cool because we slept in tents on the school's bottom field. We used the school hall for the eating room. We had helpers to cook for us in the kitchen. We also had people driving and people helping with our activities.
The activities we did were rockclimbing, ten pin bowling, camp cooking, kayaking, playing basket ball at the Rec center, Swimarama pools, and the Tahuna Toreo walk. It was fun at camp and I really want to go to camp next year. I really enjoyed the fun activities and all the yummy food they had at camp. I am really looking forward to the next years camp. I wonder what it will look like and feel like at next years camp?
